FDC Sea Tac

The Sea Tac Federal Detention Center opened in 1997 and has a 1,000-person capacity which includes maximum security prisoners. The Sea Tac name comes from the fact that it is located at about the halfway mark between Seattle and Tacoma, Washington (though a bit closer to Seattle). Stromberg Architectural Products built the cast stone column covers and column caps for the six massive columns that mark the entrance to the facility. Stromberg is the industry leader in producing columns for any construction project, and from any architectural design perspective.

Whether the goal is the powerful monolithic visual impact of large featureless columns or the detailed intricacies of Greek or Roman design, Stromberg is your one-stop shopping option for the best source on the market. Stromberg’s design capabilities are matched by a wide array of materials available to provide the best product for your specific construction needs.
