Clay Academy

Founded in 1998 by the internationally known Bishop T.D. Jakes of the Potter’s House church in Dallas, Clay Academy is a private Christian school that currently serves Pre-K through eighth grade students. The popular Dallas church has plans to expand the school through high school grade levels to become a college preparatory academy. The existing building fronting the Clay Academy campus will eventually serve as the high school and the recognizable façade that represents the entire school. Stromberg Architectural Products supplied the columns that grace the entrance to the school. When it comes to producing columns that meet the highest quality standards as well as the most stringent design requirements, there is no one in the world that can match Stromberg.

Clay Academy’s columns were produced using Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete (GFRC). GFRC provides the appearance of concrete while being much lighter in weight, stronger and more durable. GFRC is composed of minerals that will not burn, and can even serve to protect interior materials from excessive heat. GFRC is also easily produced in a variety of shapes and/or intricate patterns and can be made to imitate a variety of surfaces.
